We combine cutting-edge artificial intelligence with musical expertise to empower creators worldwide – from indie content makers to professional studios – to produce original soundtracks, remixes, and sonic experiences with unprecedented ease and speed.
Neutune Inc., the creator of MixAudio, was founded in 2020 by Dr. Jongpil Lee and a team of passionate researchers from the KAIST Music and Audio Computing Lab. As an engineer who fell in love with music, Dr. Lee envisioned a technology that could "democratize music creation" – making it accessible to creators who might not have formal music training or big budgets.
The team spent years researching audio synthesis, machine learning, and signal processing, ultimately developing the BlockMusic AI engine that powers MixAudio.

The Block Music Concept
At the core of MixAudio lies our pioneering "Block Music" concept. We view music as built from fundamental building blocks – think of pieces like melody, harmony, rhythm, and instrumentation as LEGO® bricks of sound. MixAudio's AI can generate and manipulate these blocks, allowing users to deconstruct and reassemble songs in endlessly new ways.
This means you could take a song and swap its piano melody for a guitar, or turn an upbeat pop track into a mellow acoustic version, simply by instructing the AI agent. By treating music as modular components, MixAudio lets you play with music structure and elements freely, without needing deep technical skills.
This Block Music approach, powered by our proprietary AI engine, ensures that anyone can be a creator – you can build, arrange, and remix tracks just like stacking blocks, guided by the AI's expertise.
Note: While our early concept integrated blockchain for ownership of music "blocks" as NFTs, we have shifted focus solely to the creative aspect of block music. The result is a fluid, user-friendly experience without any crypto or web3 complexity.

A debut at CES 2023 earned MixAudio an Innovation Award. November 2023 marked our public beta launch, introducing multi-input generation.
Pre-Series A & German Design Award
By mid-2024, MixAudio had grown into a comprehensive platform with tools for remixing, stem isolation, and more.
Our Future

We're also engaging with the entertainment industry; for instance, we plan to team up with music labels and artists to host AI-powered remix contests and open up new interactive fan experiences.

Our team is constantly interacting with the MixAudio community – gathering feedback from YouTubers, game developers, fitness instructors, and more – to understand their needs.
